ROLE SUMMARY:
Vilamoura International School (CIV) is the leading educational institution in the South of Portugal, offering Pre-school, Primary, and Secondary Education. As part of the Inspired Education Group, CIV provides a dynamic, high-quality, and nurturing environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Primary Class Teacher
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum and 21st-century learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to guide individual growth.
- Differentiate teaching to support English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
- Maintain a safe environment that prioritizes student wellbeing, pastoral care, and respect.
- Communicate effectively with parents through regular reporting and parent-teacher meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular planning, school events, and professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education / Primary Teaching (or equivalent); PGCE or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching the British National Curriculum or Cambridge Primary Curriculum
- Language Skills: Native or near-native English fluency (written and spoken).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, technological proficiency (Google Workspace / interactive displays), and excellent communication abilities.
