Vilamoura International School (CIV) is the leading educational institution in the South of Portugal, offering Pre-school, Basic Education, and Secondary Education with the most prestigious national and Cambridge curricula.

Vilamoura International School is looking for an enthusiastic IB DP Chemistry Teacher to join our International Section starting January 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based Chemistry lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme.
Inspire and challenge students through engaging, practical, and concept-focused learning experiences.
Design meaningful assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to support students’ progress.
Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and student wellbeing.
Contribute to collaborative planning, departmental initiatives, and the wider school community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A university degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and creatively.
Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme (or a willingness to train).
Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
An adaptable, reflective teaching style supported by a growth mindset.
A caring, student-centred approach and commitment to safeguarding.
Confidence using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
