ROLE SUMMARY:
Hilden Grange School is a co-educational preparatory day school for children aged 3-13 years. The school was founded in 1929 and is now part of Inspired Education. At Hilden Grange we are dedicated to giving our children a broad and balanced education in a supportive and stimulating environment where every child’s potential can be realised in academic, creative, physical and spiritual areas. Pupils strive for high standards, both inside and outside the classroom, they take pride in their achievements and enjoy participating wholeheartedly in the life of the school.
We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Games Coach. This is a sessional role, hours to be determined but is likely to cover most afternoons from 1pm to 5pm and will involve teaching games throughout the year groups.
This is an hourly paid role, salary will be in the region of £20 per hour. The ability to drive a minibus is preferable but not essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To teach games throughout the year groups in accordance with the department’s schemes of work, programmes of study and policies of best practice
- To be involved in school fixtures as a coach and/or referee at home and away venues
- To encourage and promote fair play and sporting conduct at all times
- To encourage and promote the girls’ interest in and enjoyment of games at all levels
- To attend regular departmental meetings, full staff meetings and staff training sessions, when required
- To attend INSET courses as appropriate and necessary
- To carry out regular staff duties on a rota basis
- To play a full and active role in the pastoral, extra curricular and social activities of the school
- To assist Games staff to deliver the Games curriculum to Years N – 8
- Assist the Head of Games in the organisation of fixtures and managing teams
- Help co-ordinate match days in terms of ensuring players are where they should be and with the correct kit
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience –
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of working in a school environment would be desirable
Skills –
- Good IT skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive a minibus would be preferable

- Evidence of being a strong team member
- Enthusiasm and a positive outlook
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team when required
