ROLE SUMMARY:

The British International School, founded in 1981, is a private co-educational school providing an excellent, high quality bilingual curriculum in Pre-School, Primary and Secondary, as well as an optimal learning environment. As part of our teaching team, we are looking an outstanding and dynamic specialist teacher to be in post ready for 9TH September 2025.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons for early years students.
• Develop and implement initiatives to encourage student; interest in the Spanish language, promoting literacy and communication skills.
• Offer extra help sessions, guidance, and support to students in need, helping them achieve their academic goals.
• Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
• Contributing to departmental improvement, including reviewing and updating the curriculum, methods of learning & teaching.
• Ensuring that lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual pupils, including additional challenge and support as required.
• Promoting and managing positive behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, welfare and safety in every moment and to develop within them positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property and schoolwork.
• Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, students’ homework and maintaining confidentiality of information
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills, including the meeting of all deadlines.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in language or related careers
• Software management (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google)                            
• 2 years of experience teaching Spanish or in related positions        
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
