The Role
We are looking for an experienced Property Officer who is ‘hands on’ (perhaps with Trade experience) and is able to hit the ground running in various tasks from gardening to playground inspections to hanging doors as well as general maintenance activities. This position will support our Grounds and Property Maintenance Technician and is fixed term, part-time (8 hours per week) and will start in January 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Well organised with strong ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
Some heavy lifting and strenuous work involved, so must be physically fit
First Aid certificate preferred, however not essential
Clean, full NZ driver’s license is essential
Gardening / Ride on Mowing
Weed-eating/spraying/water blasting
Paper recycling / Rubbish management
Handling power tool experience

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Confidence in building networks and engaging with the local community
An organised, proactive approach, and able to manage multiple priorities
Professionalism and be a true "people person"
A current New Zealand driver's licence
