Head of Admissions

ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG Tauranga is a leading co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. We provide world class education to students from year 0-13. Our campus is tailored to provide an excellent learning environment for students from Years 0-13, delivering the Cambridge Curriculum. 

As the Head of Admissions, you will be responsible for leading the acquisition and conversion of new students, while proactively supporting the retention of current students. This will include outreach, recruitment and community events.

Reporting to the Principal and the Head of International Student Recruitment APAC, you will be target focused and responsible for the delivery and development of a highly effective acquisition and retention function, one that is responsive to the evolving needs of student enrolment within our schools, grounded in the principles of customer service excellence and the values of ACG Tauranga. The successful candidate will bring innovative thinking and a collaborative leadership style to advise the Principal and empower Senior Leadership team, resulting in enhanced enrolment and retention outcomes for the school.  The role will also oversee and maintain compliance with internal and external agency regulations (NZQA, immigration New Zealand, Ministry of Education, Code of Practice Office). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To implement the admissions commercial strategy (focused on student acquisition and retention from enquiry to enrolment) for the school, working closely with the Principal and Group marketing team.
• Communicate with parents of prospective and exchange students as first point of contact, to ensure they receive accurate and timely information and advice regarding admission to the school. 
• Deliver best-in-class tours for prospective parents and partnership prospects (businesses, embassies etc). These will be conducted throughout the year (within and out of term time as required).
• Ensure service standards and quality assurance procedures are met and evolve with parent expectations and needs. 
• Ensure admissions, conversion approach and associated processes enable the school to optimise achievement of student recruitment targets with significant accountability for conversion from enquiry to application and application to enrolment. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Sales management experience within professional services setting, with a track record of success.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills. 
• Experience of working with CRM systems and integration with the sales life cycle. 
• Experience working with the education sector is desirable but not essential
• Have a proactive approach to work; have personal integrity and the drive to do what is best for the students, parents and the school. 
• An innovative thinker, with strong collaboration skills and a high degree of professional integrity. 
• Can demonstrate agility and ability to problem solve.
