ROLE SUMMARY:

The Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing the iSAMS system to meet the needs of users and the organization. This role involves working closely with users to understand and document their business requirements, analysing and improving business processes, and ensuring the effective deployment and functionality of system solutions. The Systems Analyst will utilize project management principles to oversee and deliver projects, create comprehensive user documentation, and provide training and support to ensure the successful adoption of system enhancements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with users to formulate and document detailed business requirements, ensuring that the iSAMS system effectively addresses their needs.
  • Process Analysis: Identify, investigate, and analyse existing business processes, procedures, and work practices to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • System Optimization: Evaluate current system functionality and behaviour, proposing and implementing optimal business practices and system enhancements.
  • Solution Deployment: Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, including creating and executing system test plans to ensure the system's quality and integrity.
  • Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive user and training documentation. Conduct formal training sessions to ensure users are proficient with the system.
  • Reference and Guidance: Act as a central reference point for system-related information and provide guidance and support during decision-making processes related to system projects.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with iSAMS or similar educational management systems is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Documentation Skills: Experience in creating detailed documentation and training materials.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Education: Relevant degree or certification in Information Technology, Systems Analysis, or a related field.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Analysis, or a related field.

  • Advanced degrees (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field are advantageous but not mandatory.
