ROLE SUMMARY:
Reddam House Sydney is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in nurturing the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth of young learners. You’ll deliver a comprehensive curriculum in a supportive and stimulating environment, using creative and effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum standards across multiple subject areas.
- Create engaging learning environments by managing classroom resources and setups.
- Incorporate creative activities like art, music, and sports to support student development.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a respectful, focused atmosphere.
- Supervise students during lessons and breaks to ensure safety and well-being.
- Assess student progress through exams, assignments, and regular feedback.
- Support students’ emotional and social needs, addressing concerns as they arise.
- Engage with parents and guardians during meetings and events to discuss student development.
- Participate in school activities such as excursions, concerts, and sporting events.
- Commit to professional development and may take on pastoral care roles as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in teaching at the primary school level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements
- Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of subjects effectively and engage students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to monitor and report on student progress accurately.
- Experience in organising and supervising school activities and events.
- Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent.
- Accreditation with NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- Provide lunch & playground cover and assist with pick up & drop off duties.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
- Willingness to attend school events outside regular hours as required (e.g., performances, parent-teacher interviews, etc.).
