ROLE SUMMARY:

As part of our team at Reddam Early Learning School (ELS), the Inclusion Support Worker plays a key role in ensuring that all children receive tailored support to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive early learning environment.


This position follows the Reggio Emilia approach, placing a strong emphasis on inclusive, child-led learning and fostering a love for learning. The Inclusion Support Worker works closely with other educators to create a supportive, respectful, and engaging learning environment where every child is empowered to succeed.


This is a full time - casual role is based at our St Leonards ELS and will be worked in betweent the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide tailored, individual support to children with additional needs, ensuring their inclusion and active participation in the classroom activities and learning experiences.
  • Work closely with the Room Leader and other educators to implement an inclusive, inquiry-based programme inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all children feel valued, respected, and supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure all care and safety standards are met, in line with regulatory requirements and Reddam House’s high standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and ongoing documentation of each child’s development, using reflective practices to inform planning and individualised support.
  • Curate stimulating and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire curiosity and creativity.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning culture, contributing to team planning and professional growth.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in early childhood education, with a demonstrated passion for supporting young children’s development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Ability to contribute to team planning and work collaboratively to create a positive, inclusive environment.
