ROLE SUMMARY:

As part of our team at Reddam Early Learning School (ELS), the Inclusion Support Educator plays a key role in ensuring that all children receive tailored support to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive early learning environment.

 

This position follows the Reggio Emilia approach, placing a strong emphasis on inclusive, child-led learning and fostering a love for learning. The Inclusion Support Educator works closely with other educators to create a supportive, respectful, and engaging learning environment where every child is empowered to succeed.

 

This role is based at our St Leonards ELS and is a casual position (2 days a week – Thursday and Fridays, 6 hours per day).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide tailored, individual support to children with additional needs, ensuring their inclusion and active participation in the classroom activities and learning experiences.
  • Work closely with the Room Leader and other educators to implement an inclusive, inquiry-based programme inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all children feel valued, respected, and supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure all care and safety standards are met, in line with regulatory requirements and Reddam House’s high standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Excellent communication, patience and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices in early childhood education.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • A qualification in Early Education will be desirable.
