ROLE SUMMARY:
The Early Childhood Educator at Reddam ELS plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional early learning experiences for children aged 1-5 years, with a holistic focus on emotional, social, and cognitive development. In alignment with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the educator will nurture curiosity, independence, and a love for learning, while forming collaborative relationships with families to foster a community of trust and respect.
Our passionate and highly skilled educators provide a holistic early years program, engaging children in Music, Language, Sport, Drama, and Dance. Through this rich and diverse curriculum, we nurture key developmental competencies, spark curiosity, and support each child’s personal interests—preparing them confidently for the next stage of their educational journey.
Our state-of-the-art facilities are thoughtfully designed to support optimal learning experiences for infants and toddlers. Flexible classroom layouts and high-quality resources create dynamic spaces for exploration, creativity, and growth—indoors and out.
Children at Reddam ELS also enjoy nutritious, balanced meals prepared fresh on-site by our dedicated catering team. We promote healthy eating habits while ensuring even the fussiest eaters are well cared for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Room Leaders to implement an innovative, inquiry-driven curriculum.
- Observe and document children’s development to support personalised learning.
- Create safe, engaging indoor and outdoor environments that promote exploration.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and involve them in their child’s learning journey.
- Work as part of a reflective, inclusive team culture.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute fresh ideas.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
You’re a nurturing, curious, and collaborative educator who values each child’s unique potential. You bring creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for early learning.
YOU'LL HAVE:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be actively working towards it).
- A valid Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and child-led learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
