ROLE SUMMARY:

Join Reddam Early Learning School (ELS) in ST Leonards as a Stage 4 Room Leader, you'll help shape the foundational years of children through a rich, inquiry-based curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Located just a 3-minute walk from St Leonards train and Metro Stations, our purpose-built centre offers state-of-the-art facilities and a nurturing environment where educators and children thrive together.
You lead a stage 4 class and work alongside passionate colleagues to deliver meaningful learning experiences that foster independence, creativity, and a love of discovery. You’ll support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based and child-led learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a class delivering an engaging, inquiry-based program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, catering to the developmental needs of children.

Maintain comprehensive and ongoing documentation of each child’s development, using reflective practices to inform planning and individualised support.

Conduct observations, assessments, and plan for a small group of children, ensuring their holistic development.

Curate stimulating and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire curiosity and creativity.

Foster meaningful, respectful partnerships with families, providing regular updates and involving them in their child’s learning journey.

Collaborate with the broader team to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning culture, contributing to team planning and professional growth.

Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that meets both regulatory requirements and Reddam House’s high standards of care and safety.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
You’re a nurturing, curious, and collaborative educator who values each child’s unique potential. You bring creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for early learning. Experience leading a stage class is a requirement for this role.
YOU'LL HAVE:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- ACECQA-approved qualifications.
- A valid Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and child-led learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
