ROLE SUMMARY:
The Design & Technology Teacher at Reddam House plays a crucial role in guiding students in Stage 4 as part of their educational journey, leveraging extensive experience and expertise to deliver high-quality instruction. The Design & Technology Teacher is expected to inspire academic excellence, foster intellectual curiosity, and support the holistic development of students.
By creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the broader school community, this teacher ensures that students are empowered to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Design & Technology to secondary students in an innovative and collaborative environment
- Unlock students' true potential, preparing them for unlimited success.
- Provide high-quality education, development, and care.
- Engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam House’s educational philosophy.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A commitment and passion for teaching middle school students, and the ability to adapt to Reddam’s innovative and student-centric teaching methodologies.
- A teaching degree with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Design & Technology with knowledge of NESA syllabus content.
- A valid Working with Children check and a commitment to child welfare.
- Confidence and commitment to building ICT confidence in students within developing technologies
- High expectations and aspirations for all students with a commitment to their overall development as young people.
- An open-minded approach, willingness to learn and develop.
- A demonstrable passion for teaching and a proven track record.
- The right to work in Australia.

- Valid Working with Children Check
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation
- Willingness to participate in school events and activities outside of regular school hours as required, with a focus on contributing to the school’s leadership and educational initiatives.
