ROLE SUMMARY:

Reddam Early Learning Schools (ELS) are premium early childhood schools in Sydney, offering education and care for children aged 1 to 5 across campuses in Woollahra, Lindfield and St Leonards. Each campus follows a Reggio Emilia–inspired approach that nurtures children’s curiosity, confidence and holistic development through play‑based, well‑resourced learning environments. The schools emphasise strong relationships, inclusivity, and child‑centred learning, ensuring every child is valued and supported as they grow.

 

The Risk and Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring our school exceeds quality standards and uphold the highest level of child safety and compliance.  You will work alongside our Principal and leadership teams to drive improvement, support regulatory processes, and embed best practices that ensures our early learning school continues to be a place where children feel safe, supported, and inspired.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the ELS’s risk management, and compliance frameworks are aligned with the National laws and regulations that govern Children's (education and care) services, as well as our schools Strategic Plan and core values.  The Officer provides expert guidance on risk and compliance issues and oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of processes to guarantee adherence to regulatory, legal, and operational requirements.

This role is based across our 2 Early Learning Schools on Sydney's North Shore - St Leonards and Lindfield.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Lead investigations into reportable conduct to ensure child safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and refine policies and procedures with input from educators and families.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, regulations, and laws.
  • Manage compliance processes, track incidents, and complete all regulatory reporting on time.
  • Communicate updates on regulatory, policy, and procedural changes to teams.


Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct audits and assessments to monitor compliance, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support review of school security procedures and maintain safeguarding registers for staff.


Training, Coaching, and Support:

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to educators, including input for Assessment & Rating submissions.


Risk Management & Accountability:

  • Promote risk awareness, review risk assessments, analyse data, and support Principals in managing risk and compliance systems.

  • Holds a valid WWCC, engages in ongoing professional learning, and is familiar with governance and compliance platforms such as NQAITS.
