ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking The Support Teacher assists classroom teachers in delivering effective learning experiences and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The role includes classroom support, student supervision, administrative assistance, and participation in school activities to help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support teachers in classroom activities and daily administration.
- Assist individual students and small groups to achieve learning goals.
- Help prepare lesson materials, classroom displays, and learning resources.
- Supervise students during lessons, playtime, lunch, field trips, and school activities.
- Support behaviour management and student wellbeing in line with school policies.
- Assist with attendance records, classroom organization, and student supervision.
- Provide translation support for teachers and parents when required.
- Support students in using technology, learning materials, and school facilities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, school events, and professional development activities.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- And perform other duties as reasonably assigned by school leadership.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Passion for working with children in an educational environment.
- Good English language proficiency, preferred the candidate can speaking conversational Japanese
- Excellent communication, teaching and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support classroom learning and student engagement.
- Organized, proactive, and flexible in daily tasks.
- Basic technology and administrative skills preferred.
- Enthusiastic about working in an international environment.
- Experience of Primary Years Programme (PYP) would be desirable.
