ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Group is seeking to appoint an experienced teacher of Individuals and Societies, Economics and Business Management for the International School of Siena, Italy in August 2026. Applicants must have experience of teaching IB MYP and DP or a strong background in concept and inquiry-based teaching and learning as well as suitable qualifications and experience in teaching towards high stakes external assessments.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling students to achieve their potential. We are looking for experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching language, to inspire our students with a love of learning and open doorways for all to achieve their potential. They need to be a team player that can work within a small but busy school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting a positive and strong school community through the implementation of the IS Siena
- Positive Behaviour Policy, the pastoral programme and the school’s Mission and Values.
- Planning and delivering the curriculum for: MYP Spanish Language Acquisition and MYP Italian Language and Literature.
- Standardizing internal assessments with colleagues.
- Supervising Extended Essays and Personal Projects as necessary.
- Working closely with the MYP Coordinator to ensure grade banks are accurate and provide key data to drive student success.
- Acting as a homeroom teacher.
- Contributing to school development through active participation in staff professional development.
- Offering an Extra Curricular activity that supports or extends the current portfolio of offerings.
