ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Group is seeking to appoint an experienced teacher of IB PYP Early Years to join a well-established Primary School at the International School of Siena, Italy in August 2026. Applicants must have experience of teaching IB PYP or a strong background in Early Years Reggio-Inspired teaching.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling students to achieve their potential. We are looking for experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching, to inspire our students with a love of learning. They need to be a team player that can work within a small but busy Primary School, collaborating with specialists and also managing their own curriculum under pressure.
This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of our Primary School. Middle Leadership positions may be available for the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting a positive and strong school community through the implementation of the IS Siena
- Positive Behaviour Policy, the pastoral programme and the school’s Mission and Values.
- Planning and delivering the curriculum for one specific PYP EY grade level. Using the Reggio Emilio Inspired approach.
- Initiating and leading school trips, assemblies and other initiatives as necessary.
- Working closely with the PYP Coordinator to ensure assessment data are accurate and provide key information to drive student success.
- Contributing to school development through active participation in staff professional development.
- Offering an Extra Curricular activity that supports or extends the current portfolio of offerings.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- to be in possession of a university degree in a related subject and an appropriate teaching qualification;
- to have had recent experience successfully teaching the subject within the 3-5 year age range;
- to be enthusiastic and passionate, showing a love of primary education and having the ability to convey this successfully to students of all abilities;
- Understanding of EY assessment and data tracking to improve challenge and progress desirable;
- Experience with PYP and/or Reggio-Inspired learning is essential;
- A firm understanding of the importance of personalised learning in an inclusive environment;
- Someone who is willing to commit to a longer-term position.
