ROLE SUMMARY:

Inspired is a rapidly growing global education group with 2 schools in Greece (Moraitis School and CGS School). Committed to academic excellence, we are shaping the future of education on a global scale.

 

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our operations in Greece and other entities. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial processes, compliance with regulations, and contributing to strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and reporting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly Closing: Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closings and review of financial statements.
  • General Accounting: Manage accounting tasks, including accruals and detailed financial analysis.

  • Salaries and Staff Costs: Oversee salary allocations, staff cost accounting, and HR tax reporting compliance.

  • Accounts Payable: Ensure accurate and timely registration of AP invoices with proper documentation.

  • Capex Accounting: Maintain Capex records and control processes to monitor budgets and allocations.

  • Fiscal and Tax Reporting: Prepare and submit corporate fiscal and tax reports, ensuring full compliance.

  • Year-End Processes: Coordinate year-end accounts, manage audits, and ensure smooth financial reporting.

  • Chart of Accounts Maintenance: Maintain and update the chart of accounts, ensuring proper mapping for International Entities (IE).

  • Accounting Policies: Develop and implement policies in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform and review reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Group Queries Support: Address queries from Group Finance and other stakeholders effectively.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience in accounting, with expertise in fiscal reporting, Capex, and year-end processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multitask effectively.

  • Prior experience in a multinational company or audit firm, 6-8 years.

  • Prior experience in JDE financial system is a plus

  • Prior experience in tax reporting and staff cost accounting.

  • Familiarity with maintaining and updating complex charts of accounts.

  • Experience in supporting group finance functions and managing audits.
