We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Soccer Coach to join our school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching across age groups, supporting competitive sport programmes, and contributing to a positive and inclusive sporting culture. The Soccer Coach will play a key role in developing students’ physical skills, confidence, and sportsmanship while ensuring all sporting activities are safe, structured, and aligned with the school’s values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions tailored to student ability and development stage.
• Coach and support teams during training and competitive fixtures, providing tactical and technical feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating sporting environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.
• Monitor and support student progress, promoting skill development, teamwork, and personal best performance.
• Ensure all sporting activities are delivered safely, following safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Support students’ physical, social, and emotional development through sport.
• Manage basic team logistics including scheduling, equipment, and coordination for fixtures and events.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding performance and participation.
• Contribute to the wider school sports programme, including events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and sportsmanship at all times.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Relevant sports coaching qualification.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
• Experience coaching children or youth teams, ideally in a school, academy, or club environment.
• Strong understanding of coaching principles, child development, and age-appropriate training methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage young people.
• Strong organisational skills, including ability to manage fixtures, training schedules, and team logistics.
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive sporting environment that promotes participation and wellbeing.
• A proactive, energetic, and positive attitude, with a strong commitment to student development.
