We seek an exceptional Science Teacher with a passion for education, dedication, creativity, and outstanding experience from the best schools worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons in English for Secondary and High School students.
- Develop annual, semester, and weekly planning aligned with curriculum requirements, learning objectives, and school standards.
- Design engaging laboratory experiences, experiments, and inquiry-based projects that encourage students to apply the scientific method and higher-order thinking skills.
- Integrate scientific vocabulary, language development, and communication skills into daily instruction to support bilingual learning.
- Create a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement, curiosity, and academic achievement.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including examinations, projects, practical work, class participation, and ongoing formative assessment.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback that supports continuous student growth and academic progress.
- Monitor student wellbeing, behaviour, and academic performance, communicating proactively with school leadership regarding any concerns or support needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and reporting records in accordance with school expectations and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practices, support curriculum development, and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Participate actively in school events, professional development opportunities, meetings, supervision duties, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote and model the values of respect, responsibility, honesty, empathy, citizenship, and lifelong learning.
- Ensure all laboratory and classroom activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science Education, or a related scientific field.
- A recognised teaching qualification or pedagogical training.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience working with Secondary and/or High School students.
- Experience teaching Science through English or within a bilingual/international educational setting.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, scientific investigation, and laboratory practices.
- The ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively in English.
- Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage planning, assessment, and reporting responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency with educational technology, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital learning platforms.
- A commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and continuous professional development.
