We are seeking to appoint a Teacher Coordinator – Secondary & High School to join Picacho McGregor School. Reporting to the Section Director, this leadership role is responsible for supporting, coaching, and developing teaching staff while ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the English programme. Working closely with teachers and school leadership, the successful candidate will foster collaboration, instructional excellence, and a positive learning culture that enables every student to thrive. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach and support teachers through regular classroom observations, feedback and performance follow-up.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the school's curriculum, academic standards and institutional policies.
  • Review and monitor annual, monthly and weekly lesson planning to maintain high-quality teaching practices.
  • Coordinate assessments, academic guides and reporting processes across the department.
  • Organise teacher schedules, duties, events and operational planning to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and individual coaching sessions to promote continuous professional development.
  • Partner with school leadership and the Psychopedagogy team to support student progress and address individual learning needs.
  • Supervise teacher communication with families, ensuring consistency, professionalism and alignment with school expectations.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding and professional development of new teaching staff.
  • Promote a collaborative, positive and student-centred culture while safeguarding the wellbeing and safety of all students.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Psychology or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience combined with proven experience in academic coordination or educational leadership.
  • Strong instructional coaching and classroom observation skills with the ability to develop high-performing teachers.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, professionalism, discretion and resilience.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to leadership.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • A genuine passion for educational excellence and supporting teachers to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
