We are seeking an exceptional Drama Teacher to deliver drama classes for a set number of teaching hours per week. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging and creative lessons, fostering self-expression, confidence, collaboration, and communication skills. Experience teaching drama in a school setting and a passion for developing young performers through the arts are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring Drama lessons for students across the assigned year groups.
• Foster creativity, confidence, collaboration, and self-expression through a dynamic performing arts curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to participate.
• Develop students' acting, movement, voice, improvisation, and performance skills through a variety of teaching approaches.
• Organise and support school productions, performances, showcases, and other performing arts events as required.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement.
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to cross-curricular initiatives and the wider life of the school.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and student wellbeing in line with school policies.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school activities as appropriate.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
• Previous experience teaching Drama in a school environment.
• A passion for inspiring young people through the performing arts.
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to motivate students of varying ages, abilities, and confidence levels.
• Experience directing or supporting school productions, performances, or theatre projects.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible teaching schedule.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
• Fluency in English; experience in bilingual or international school settings is an advantage.
