We are seeking an experienced and student-centered Discipline Coordinator to support the development of a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment within the Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and school leadership to promote positive behavior, foster student wellbeing, and ensure the consistent implementation of school policies and expectations.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and uphold the school's behavior expectations, values, and code of conduct across the Primary School.
  • Support teachers in managing student behavior and implementing restorative and positive discipline practices.
  • Investigate, document, and follow up on behavioral incidents, ensuring fair and consistent application of school policies.
  • Build positive relationships with students and provide guidance to support their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Monitor student wellbeing and collaborate with counselors, teachers, and school leaders to identify and support students requiring intervention.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding behavioral matters, student progress, and support plans when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and behavioral trends, providing reports to school leadership as required.
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives that promote respect, responsibility, citizenship, and a positive school culture.
  • Support student supervision during arrivals, departures, breaks, transitions, and school events to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with academic and pastoral teams to develop proactive strategies that strengthen student engagement and wellbeing.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged students in a school, pastoral, counseling, or student support role.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and positive behavior management practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience managing sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • The ability to remain calm, approachable, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced school environment.
