ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic STEAM Teacher to join our Summer Camp team. This role combines hands-on STEAM education with active camper supervision and full involvement in camp life. The teacher will lead engaging, project-based STEAM activities while ensuring camper safety, well-being, and positive participation throughout the day. Working closely with the Head of Department and camp staff, the teacher will contribute to a vibrant and supportive camp community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, hands-on STEAM lessons and projects: programming, soldering, DIY projects much appreciated
  • Actively supervise campers during STEAM sessions, daily activities, meals, breaks, and excursions
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Support campers’ learning, behavior, and overall well-being
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment at all times
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Department and the wider camp team
  • Participate fully in daily camp routines, interdisciplinary activities, and special events
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to planning and reflection
  • Ensure camper safety and engagement, acting as a positive role model throughout the camp experience

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience teaching STEAM subjects (camp or international experience preferred)
  • Experience with hands-on, project-based learning. Experience with programming, soldering and DIY projects appreciated.
  • Strong supervision, classroom management, and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and support learners of different ages
  • Flexible, responsible, proactive, and passionate about experiential education and camp life
