ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Whole School Spanish Teacher to join us from the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding Spanish teaching across the entire school, fostering a love of language learning while contributing to the development of a dynamic and engaging modern languages program. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence in communication, deepen their understanding of Hispanic cultures, and cultivate global citizenship through language.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Spanish lessons across all key stages, ensuring students achieve their linguistic and personal development potential.
- Promote cultural awareness, global-mindedness, and international understanding through the teaching of Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.
- Track, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Spanish curriculum, including cross-curricular initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
- Encourage participation in language competitions, cultural events, exchange programs, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate language learning with broader educational goals and international perspectives.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement.
- Contribute to the wider school community by supporting events, workshops, and parent engagement activities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree in Spanish, Modern Languages, or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Spanish across multiple age groups, ideally within an international or IB curriculum.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to become confident, articulate communicators.
- A strong commitment to fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship.
- Confidence in integrating technology into lessons to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation, excellence, and student well-being.
