King’s College School Latvia, a proud member of the Inspired Education Group, provides a transformative education for students aged 3-18. Located in a stunning 20,000m² campus in Riga, we follow the British curriculum, offering Cambridge IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Physics to join our dedicated team from August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students, nurture a love for physics, and contribute to a culture of academic excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting Physics lessons.
  • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
  • Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students’ homework.
  • Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
  • Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
  • Produce resources of a high standard for students.
  • Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
  • Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
  • The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Physics or a closely related subject, along with a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Physics to IGCSE and IBDP levels with excellent academic outcomes.
  • A passion for science and the ability to inspire students through innovative teaching methods.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high standards of education.
  • Confidence in using technology to support teaching and learning.
  • A positive, adaptable mindset, with a focus on collaboration and professional growth.
