The school has excellent sporting facilities for its size including outside sports areas, two swimming pools, a weights gym, a dance room and a large multi-purpose indoor gymnasium. We actively encourage experiential learning outside the classroom and frequently use a private forest situated near the school grounds to support curricular learning.

We are looking for a Teacher of Physics with possible Head of Department role to join us in August 2024 for the academic year of 2024/25.


  • Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting Physics lessons.

  • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.

  • Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students’ homework.

  • Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.

  • Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.

  • Produce resources of a high standard for students.

  • Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.

  • Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.

  • The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.
