ROLE SUMMARY:

King's College Latvia is an International School situated on the outskirts of the culturally vibrant capital city of Riga.

Established six years ago, King's College Latvia has seen rapid growth in student numbers. The school has excellent sporting facilities for its size including outside sports areas, two swimming pools, a weights gym, a dance room and a large multi-purpose indoor gymnasium. We actively encourage experiential learning outside the classroom and frequently use a private forest situated near the school grounds to support curricular learning.

We are looking for a Teacher of Physics with possible Head of Department role to join us in August 2024 for the academic year of 2024/25.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting Physics lessons.

  • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.

  • Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students’ homework.

  • Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.

  • Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.

  • Produce resources of a high standard for students.

  • Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.

  • Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.

  • The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.
