ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College Latvia, part of the Inspired Education Group, is a dynamic and thriving international school located on the outskirts of Riga, offering a British curriculum in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team from August 2025. The successful candidate will be placed in either Year 1 or Year 4, depending on their experience and skill set. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping young learners’ academic and personal development, fostering a love for learning throughout their primary years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the British curriculum, ensuring all students make excellent progress.
  • Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child’s development academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Implement a range of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs, ensuring inclusion and differentiation.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, planning, and school initiatives.
  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence in young learners through engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a strong sense of community within the school.
  • Actively participate in extracurricular activities, contributing to the wider school experience.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

 

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, or equivalent) and relevant experience at the primary level, preferably within the British curriculum.

  • Flexibility to teach either Year 1 or Year 4 based on expertise and classroom experience.

  • A passion for primary education and a deep understanding of how young children learn best.

  • A nurturing and student-centred approach, with a strong ability to inspire and motivate learners.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.

  • A commitment to reflective teaching and ongoing professional development.

  • A proactive and creative mindset, with a willingness to contribute to the school community.

  • Previous experience in an international or multicultural setting (desirable).

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
