ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking a passionate and innovative Primary Teacher to join our exceptional team. This role involves delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and holistic development in our students. Working in a nurturing and inclusive environment, you will play a vital role in equipping young learners with the skills and confidence they need for success. We are looking for someone with strong foundations in KS1 teaching. 

For this opportunity, we will provide an enhanced moving allowance. We are looking for someone with immediate availability or available to begin in the second term (8th of January). 

Based in the scenic Saliena community just outside Riga, this position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art school while enjoying the rich cultural and natural beauty of Latvia.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to meet the needs of an international student body.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
  • Develop innovative teaching materials and strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects to enhance the curriculum and encourage holistic learning.
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor and support student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Actively engage in school life, participating in extracurricular activities, community events, and school initiatives.
  • Support students’ emotional and social development by promoting positive behavior and a sense of belonging.
  • Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and share best practices within the Primary team
  • Stay up-to-date with educational research and participate in professional development opportunities

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Primary Education or an equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching at the Primary level, with a track record of fostering student success.
  • Experience with the British curriculum (required).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with a focus on inclusivity and collaboration.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic international environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance the learning experience.
  • A passion for holistic education, including the development of students’ academic, emotional, and social skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school’s wider community.
  • A positive, flexible mindset and a desire to inspire and empower young learners
