ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Middle School Teacher to join us from the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile and passionate educator to teach English and Humanities, with the possibility of contributing to Physical Education, across the middle school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, interdisciplinary learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, communication skills, and personal development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in English and Humanities, fostering strong literacy, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Teach elements of Physical Education (where appropriate), promoting teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles.
• Plan and implement interdisciplinary units that connect literature, history, geography, and social studies to real-world contexts.
• Track, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the middle school curriculum and enrichment programs.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and student leadership opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student well-being and promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement.
• Contribute to the broader school community through events, workshops, and parent engagement initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A degree in English, Humanities, Education, or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching English and Humanities at middle school level; experience in PE is an advantage.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for fostering literacy, critical thinking, and global awareness.
• The ability to deliver dynamic, student-centered lessons that engage a wide range of learners.
• A commitment to promoting both academic excellence and student well-being.
• Confidence in integrating technology into lessons to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation, excellence, and holistic education.
