ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across key stages, including IGCSE and IBDP.
• Inspire students’ curiosity and critical thinking through engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons.
• Contribute to curriculum development aligned with IB and Inspired Education standards.
• Support English-related events, competitions, and enrichment activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular initiatives and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Demonstrate readiness to take on leadership responsibilities, including supporting departmental planning and resource management.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Recognised teaching qualification and a degree in English or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching English at IGCSE and IBDP (or equivalent advanced level).
• Ambition and readiness to step into a leadership role in the near future.
• A passion for English education and an innovative approach to curriculum development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• A growth mindset and commitment to personal and professional development.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire high standards of student behaviour and engagement.
