ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an outstanding English Teacher with the ambition and readiness to take on leadership responsibilities as Head of Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational, forward-thinking educator to join a thriving international school community and contribute to shaping an exceptional English programme. The successful candidate will teach English to advanced levels (IGCSE and IBDP) and, over time, play a key role in developing innovative literacy initiatives and supporting departmental leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across key stages, including IGCSE and IBDP.
- Inspire students’ curiosity and critical thinking through engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons.
- Contribute to curriculum development aligned with IB and Inspired Education standards.
- Support English-related events, competitions, and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular initiatives and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Demonstrate readiness to take on leadership responsibilities, including supporting departmental planning and resource management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Recognised teaching qualification and a degree in English or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching English at IGCSE and IBDP (or equivalent advanced level).
- Ambition and readiness to step into a leadership role in the near future.
- A passion for English education and an innovative approach to curriculum development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
