ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Mathematics Teacher for next academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding teaching at IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level while contributing to curriculum development and driving innovation within the Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will inspire a love for mathematics, promote academic excellence, and foster problem-solving skills and analytical thinking among students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Foster curiosity and creativity through play-based and inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners and encourage holistic growth.
  • Observe and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing feedback with parents.
  • Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment aligned with IB philosophy.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, building strong partnerships in support of each child’s development.
  • Promote school values and create a positive, inclusive classroom culture.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant university degree and/or recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in Early Years and/or Primary settings.
  • A strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
  • Experience with EYFS, Cambridge Primary, or similar international curricula (an advantage).
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to short-notice cover requests.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
  • Confidence using ICT to support teaching and learning.
  • A mindset focused on continuous professional growth
