EYFS Teacher of Nursery

ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College Latvia, part of the Inspired Education Group, is a dynamic and thriving international school located on the outskirts of Riga, offering a British curriculum in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher (EYFS) to join our team from August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the early educational experiences of our youngest learners, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a warm, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
• Foster children’s personal, social, and emotional development, ensuring a strong foundation for future learning.
• Implement a range of play-based and structured activities to develop key early learning skills, including communication, literacy, numeracy, and motor development.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to create a collaborative and enriching learning experience.
• Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider school community to support each child's well-being and development.
• Actively contribute to the school’s pastoral and extracurricular programmes, helping to create a well-rounded learning experience.
• Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety within the learning environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, or equivalent) and experience teaching in an EYFS setting, preferably within the British curriculum.
• A passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development.
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach, with a strong ability to build positive relationships with young learners.
• A creative and engaging teaching style that fosters curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment (desirable).
• A strong command of English, both written and spoken.
