ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College School Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an accomplished and passionate educator for the role of Deputy Head of Primary transitioning into Head of Primary. This exciting opportunity combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership, offering the chance to inspire young learners while driving excellence within the Primary team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that align with the Primary curriculum and meet the diverse needs of an international student body.
  • Support the Head of Primary in setting and achieving strategic departmental goals, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and vision.
  • Mentor and provide professional development for teaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance teaching quality, curriculum design, and overall student outcomes.
  • Monitor and refine assessment policies to ensure they drive academic excellence and support student progress.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Promote strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community, acting as a key point of contact for pastoral and academic matters.
  • Actively contribute to extracurricular programs and school events, enhancing the holistic development of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Stay informed on the latest educational trends and innovations, implementing best practices in both teaching and leadership.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Primary Education or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Proven leadership experience within a primary school setting, with a track record of driving positive change and student success.
  • Exceptional teaching skills and classroom management abilities, with a passion for nurturing young learners.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance teaching and leadership responsibilities.
  • The ability to inspire, mentor, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • A commitment to innovation and the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with students, parents, and staff.
