ROLE SUMMARY:
1. Instructional Support:
- Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and supporting group and individual learning activities. - Help prepare instructional materials and resources that support lesson objectives. - Reinforce learning concepts and provide additional guidance to students who need extra support.
2. Student Supervision and Guidance:
- Supervise students in various settings, including the classroom, playground, and during school events. - Support students' social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions and conflict resolution. - Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that aligns with the school’s values and standards.
3. Classroom Management and Organization:
- Assist with maintaining classroom routines and organization, ensuring materials are ready for use. - Help manage behavior by reinforcing positive behavior expectations and supporting established classroom norms. - Support in managing resources and maintaining a tidy, organized learning space.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, sharing observations and insights to support student learning. - Communicate with sensitivity and respect towards students, parents, and staff. - Participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Educational Background: High school diploma required; certification or experience in early childhood education is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Additional languages, especially Arabic or French, are advantageous.
