Teaching Assistant

ROLE SUMMARY:

1. Curriculum and Instruction:

- Deliver engaging, innovative lessons in line with the Cambridge Curriculum, incorporating international best practices. - Create differentiated learning experiences that address the individual needs of students, including language acquisition, cultural integration, and social-emotional development. - Integrate a cross-disciplinary approach, embedding critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy into daily instruction.

2. Student Development and Well-being:

- Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student feels valued and inspired to achieve their personal best. - Support students’ social and emotional development, promoting resilience, empathy, and responsible decision-making. - Implement Inspired Education principles of student-led learning, fostering self-expression and self-directed inquiry.

3. Assessment and Reporting:

- Conduct regular assessments and track each student's progress, providing feedback that is clear, constructive, and supportive. - Prepare individualized progress reports and communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and areas for growth. - Engage in data-driven instruction, using assessment insights to adapt and improve teaching strategies.

4. Parent and Community Engagement:

- Partner with parents to enhance student learning, providing strategies for at-home support and celebrating achievements. - Communicate with sensitivity and respect for each family's cultural background, values,

and educational aspirations. - Participate in school events and community activities, contributing to the inclusive, collaborative spirit of Kahlil Gibran School.

5. Professional Development and Collaboration:

- Engage in ongoing professional development, including Inspired Education’s training and workshops to refine skills and stay current with educational advancements. - Collaborate with colleagues, contributing ideas and sharing resources to maintain a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Take on leadership roles as opportunities arise, participating in committees, mentoring junior staff, or spearheading new initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field. Teaching certification is preferred.

- Experience: Proven experience in primary education, ideally in an international or Inspired school environment.

- Skills: Strong classroom management, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.

- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Additional languages, especially Arabic or French, are advantageous.
