Science Teacher

ROLE SUMMARY:

Khalil Gibran School is looking for a dedicated Mathematics Educator to deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with the Moroccan curriculum. The role focuses on fostering students’ analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure consistent academic success. By joining our team, you will implement rigorous standards that empower students to master complex mathematical concepts and excel in their examinations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching and Learning : Deliver Moroccan curriculum-aligned SVT lessons using diverse pedagogical and digital tools.

Practical and Laboratory Work : Supervise safe laboratory experiments and train students in scientific methodology.

Assessment and Evaluation : Administer rigorous assessments to prepare students for regional and Baccalaureate exams.

Classroom Management : Foster a disciplined environment that promotes active participation and scientific inquiry.

Student Support : Provide targeted remedial support and enrichment to meet diverse learning needs.

Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate academic records and collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.

• A proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements.
• In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
• Expertise in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing student performance, including in external assessments.
• Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing strong, positive relationships with families.
• A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
