ROLE SUMMARY:

Khalil Gibran School Rabat (KGSR) is a dynamic and community-focused institution offering both British-style and Moroccan education to local and expatriate students. Known for its forward-thinking pedagogy and holistic educational philosophy, KGSR continues to build a strong reputation for its commitment to excellence, inclusion, and student well-being.

We are currently seeking a Primary English Teacher to inspire and support young learners in developing strong language skills and fostering a love for reading and writing. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the Moroccan curriculum (and KGSR’s holistic approach), promoting effective communication, literacy, and critical thinking.

The ideal candidate will create a warm, engaging, and supportive classroom environment while upholding high standards of discipline and safeguarding. The post holder will also assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, working closely with colleagues and parents to ensure both academic growth and personal development.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching and Pedagogy

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons across different grade levels.

  • Inspire a love for reading, writing, and the English language among students.

  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies and creative approaches to actively engage students and encourage participation.

Student Progress and Assessment

  • Regularly assess student learning through tests, assignments, and continuous assessments.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.

  • Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods to ensure all students reach their full potential.

Collaboration and Contribution to School Life

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider academic team to support student learning and development.

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school activities to enhance teaching practices.

  • Contribute to cultural and educational events that promote the love of literature and language.
