ROLE SUMMARY:
The Pedagogical Head is a senior leader responsible for the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Cambridge Section. This role combines academic leadership with administrative management to ensure high-quality teaching, national curriculum compliance, and a collaborative professional culture aligned with KGS’s progressive vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a long-term vision for the Cambridge Section; contribute to school-wide strategic planning and improvement. -
Curriculum & Teaching Excellence:
Ensure high-quality teaching and learning through effective curriculum design, inclusive pedagogy, and continuous teacher support. -
Staff Development:
Recruit, mentor, and manage teaching staff; foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. -
Operations & Budgeting:
Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, and day-to-day logistics including timetabling and staff coverage. -
Examinations & Data Use:
Ensure secure and compliant administration of national and international exams; analyse academic data to drive decisions. -
Community & Stakeholder Engagement:
Strengthen partnerships with parents and the wider community; represent the school with professionalism and integrity
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Master’s degree in Education or related field.

Minimum of 5 years in a senior pedagogical leadership role.

Thorough understanding of Cambridge curriculum and exams.

Experience in budgeting, HR oversight, and educational data analysis.

Fluency in English is mandatory (written and spoken)
