ROLE SUMMARY:
Khalil Gibran School Rabat (KGSR) is a vibrant school offering a premium British-style and Moroccan education to both expatriate and local students in Morocco. We have an exciting opportunity for an English Teacher to join our team. The English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students following both the Moroccan and Cambridge curriculam. This includes tailoring lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment, and ensuring students' academic growth across different assessment systems. The teacher will play a key role in developing students' language skills, promoting critical thinking, and preparing them for academic success in both local and international contexts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to student needs.
- Assess, track, and support student progress and achievement.
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Uphold school policies and promote student wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents.
- Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development.
- Lead or support at least one extra-curricular activity per week.
- Act as a Form Tutor, managing daily attendance and pastoral care.
- Contribute to school improvement and promote a positive school image
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
As the English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons based on both the Moroccan and Cambridge curriculum. We are seeking a candidate with a solid background in English and a desire to grow and thrive in an International Schooling setting. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional development and exposure to diverse teaching methodologies.
A relevant teaching qualification (TEFL, degree, PGCE or Bed or equivalent).
This must be in the subject or age group you apply to teach Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in an international school or UK setting and 3 years teaching experience Is confident with the use of IT in teaching and possesses excellent IT litera
- Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all staff, students, and parents
- Attends training programmes and after school meetings as set by the school
- Performs related duties and special projects assigned
- Active participation in the implementation of the school’s events and any other initiatives
- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to a strategic view for the school in its community
- Analyzing and planning for the school’s future needs and further development within the local and international contex
- Publicly supporting all decisions of the Senior Leadership Team
- Adherence to Staff Handbook and all school policies
