ROLE SUMMARY:

Khalil Gibran School Rabat (KGSR) is a vibrant and community-oriented institution offering premium British-style and Moroccan education to both local and expatriate students. Renowned for its progressive pedagogy and holistic educational philosophy, KGSR continues to build a strong reputation as a school committed to excellence, inclusion, and student well-being.

We are currently seeking an English Teacher to inspire and enhance students’ language skills, communication, and appreciation for literature. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the curriculum, fostering students’ abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking, while instilling a love of language and literature.

The ideal candidate will create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence, creativity, and academic growth, while maintaining high standards of discipline and safeguarding. The post holder will also assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child’s linguistic and personal development.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic, age-appropriate English lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy.

  • Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with a focus on critical thinking, comprehension, and effective communication.

  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive classroom environment.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress and development, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

  • Introduce students to a wide range of literary genres and texts, fostering an appreciation for literature, culture, and diverse perspectives.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organized classroom that supports active learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents to support students’ overall growth and participate in school activities and professional development.
