We have an exciting opportunity for a Computer Science Teacher to join us in August, 2026.
The Computer Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality computing and computer science education from Upper Primary (Year 6) through Key Stage 4 (IGCSE), with the potential to contribute to A-Level Computer Science provision as the department develops. This will be the first year that we introduce Cambridge Internation Education IGCSE Computer Science.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum and assessment requirements.

Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and differentiation.

Maintain accurate records of attainment, progress, and behaviour.

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment in line with school policies.

Contribute to curriculum development, departmental collaboration, and professional development.

Support enrichment activities and participate fully in wider school life.

Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area or related field.

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd, or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.

Experience teaching within a school environment.

Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.

Experience with international curricula and/or preparing students for external examinations (e.g. IGCSE, A Level, or equivalent).

The ability to teach across a range of key stages or examination levels.

Evidence of ongoing professional development.

A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities (or willingness to undertake training).
