Khalil Gibran School Rabat (KGSR) is a dynamic and inclusive learning community that offers a premium British-style and Moroccan education to both expatriate and local students in Morocco. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Head of Primary & ELS to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will support the Head of Primary in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the primary section, while also overseeing the English Language Support (ELS) program. This dual role involves ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, supporting the professional development of staff, and promoting inclusive practices to meet the needs of diverse learners, particularly those acquiring English as an additional language.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Supporting curriculum development and implementation aligned with both Moroccan and Cambridge frameworks

  • Leading and coordinating ELS interventions to ensure language acquisition and academic progress for all students

  • Coaching and mentoring primary staff to foster effective teaching strategies and inclusive classroom environments

  • Monitoring student achievement and supporting data-driven decisions for academic improvement

  • Collaborating with parents, staff, and school leadership to maintain a positive and nurturing school culture

 

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (in Education or a related field)

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in a leadership or support capacity

  • A good understanding of English language learning needs in a multilingual environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents

  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a commitment to student success and well-being
