ROLE SUMMARY:
Close to ski-resorts and picturesque scenery, Queenstown offers a lifestyle and a range of outdoor activities that are second to none. Our north facing Remarkables Park Childhood centre offers an all day, all year sun filled outdoor playground and three age appropriate classrooms which open out onto the playground allowing for indoor and outdoor play. The Queenstown early learning centre team are passionate and enthusiastic about providing a respectful, responsive and peaceful educational learning programme for all infants and children.
We are looking for a qualified, NZ registered ECE teacher to join us for a permanent, full-time position from February 2026. You will need to be calm, respectful, motivated, passionate and be able to work as part of the team. The Centre is well resourced and you will be provided with non-contact time, Professional Learning & Development and Teacher Registration Mentoring. You will be teaching in a lovely environment and with an amazing team of teachers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach early childhood learning, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.
- Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities of the children.
- Develop excellent relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
- Play based learning environment with a focus on transition to school.
- Participate in wider school activities.
- Ensure children's welfare and safety in every moment.
- Work as part of a reflective, inclusive team culture.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute fresh ideas.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
- Well-prepared, inspiring confidence in children and parents.
- Flexible, committed, professional, hard working, team player.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
