Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover from October 2026)

ROLE SUMMARY:

Australian International School (AIS) Saigon, a renowned international, co-educational K-13 school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has been educating young men and women for more than 16 years. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning across the Primary curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assess and differentiate learning to meet individual student needs.
• Support student wellbeing, independence and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents.
• Participate in professional development, ECAs, school events and excursions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor of Education in Primary and Teaching certification in Primary
• A minimum of three years of demonstrable experience teaching Primary
• Valid registration or licensing in Primary teaching, with eligibility to work legally in Vietnam.
• An understanding of, and experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Program would be an advantage, but is not required
• Applicants must have a demonstrable passion for working with children; to develop their learning skills and social confidence and be willing to work as part of a positive and supportive team to achieve the school’s aims and goal.
