KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, IB Visual Arts, or equivalent curricula.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking, inspiring students to explore diverse artistic styles and cultural contexts.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and artistic abilities of students.
  • Foster an interactive, collaborative learning environment that promotes experimentation and exploration.
  • Support students in developing artistic skills across various mediums such as painting, sculpture, and digital arts.
  • Use assessment data to track progress and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic work.
  • Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and artistic expression.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes respect for artistic diversity and student well-being.
  • Engage students in extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and competitions to enhance their love for visual arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development to continuously improve teaching practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A relevant degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field, with international teaching experience preferred.
  • A valid teaching qualification and experience teaching visual arts at the secondary level.
  • A passion for visual arts and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative teaching approach.
  • A commitment to student welfare and safeguarding practices, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Proficiency in English and a willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods.
