ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Peter’s International School is seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Monitor to provide exceptional administrative and operational support to our school community.
The Transport Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive behavior of students during their daily commute. Acting as a liaison between the school, the driver, and parents, the monitor ensures that every journey is conducted in an orderly and secure environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise students while boarding, traveling, and disembarking the school bus.

Ensure all students are safely seated and using seat belts at all times.

Verify that students are collected by authorized parents/guardians at designated stops.

Maintain discipline and order on the bus to minimize distractions for the driver.

Address and report any instances of bullying or inappropriate behavior to the school administration.

Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among students of different ages.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Portuguese and a good working level of English (essential for communicating with the international student body and staff).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: High level of patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Certification: First Aid and CPR certification is a significant advantage (training may be provided by the school).
- Availability: Must be available for split-shift hours (typically early morning and late afternoon) during term time
