We are seeking a passionate and experienced KS1 and KS2 Teacher to join our inspiring team. This role involves nurturing young minds, enhancing literacy and numeracy skills, and sparking curiosity and creativity in our students. You will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to learn, explore, and grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Inspire a love for reading, writing, and math, helping students connect concepts to real-life applications and see the relevance of their learning.
  • Cultivate a growth mindset by encouraging exploration and creativity in literacy and numeracy, utilizing hands-on and interactive activities.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, creating a supportive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in language and math that promote comprehension, creativity, and analytical skills, using varied teaching methods including group projects, independent work, and practical problem-solving.
  • Integrate technology into the curriculum to support literacy, numeracy, and analytical thinking, enhancing students’ digital and communication skills.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction, providing constructive feedback to support personalized learning paths in literacy and math.
  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe to express themselves and take ownership of their learning journey.
  • Establish strong, respectful relationships with students to encourage a sense of belonging and well-being, actively engaging them in extracurricular activities like reading clubs and math games.
  • Adhere to school policies and professional standards, collaborating effectively with colleagues to support cross-disciplinary learning and the school’s mission of academic excellence.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with educational advancements and best practices in literacy and numeracy instruction.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Education or a related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching at the KS1 and KS2 levels, with a commitment to enhancing literacy and numeracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teaching.
  • A meticulous and organized approach, with a passion for student welfare and safeguarding.
  • A command of foundational math strategies and a fluency in English, incorporating innovative teaching techniques to engage young learners.
