We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified IB Physics Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. In this role, you will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of physics, encourage scientific inquiry, and equip them with the skills to analyse, investigate, and problem-solve in an international academic setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver high-quality Physics instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and Cambridge IGCSE curricula.
- Encourage critical thinking and inquiry, fostering a passion for scientific exploration and real-world problem-solving.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, utilizing assessment data to inform teaching.
- Design and lead practical, hands-on laboratory experiments, developing students’ investigative and analytical skills.
- Incorporate modern teaching methodologies, technology, and simulations to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Support students in internal assessments and extended essays for the IB Diploma Programme.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations, ensuring a deep conceptual understanding of core topics.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying updated with the latest IB and physics education advancements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities and promote STEM initiatives.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, prioritizing student well-being and engagement.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification and proven experience teaching IB Physics and/or IGCSE Physics at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with IB assessments, Internal Assessments (IAs), and Extended Essays (EEs).
- A student-centered approach, promoting inquiry-based and conceptual learning.
- Strong practical skills in conducting and supervising laboratory work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with students and colleagues.
- A commitment to innovation in teaching, incorporating technology and modern pedagogical methods.
- Proficiency in English, with experience in an international school environment preferred.
