Mathematics Teacher (Short Term Cover)

ROLE SUMMARY:

Are you a retired Maths teacher who misses the classroom and fancies 3 months in the winter sunshine? St. Peter’s International School, Palmela, Portugal (just 30 minutes south of Lisbon) are seeking a Maths cover until January.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive, and differentiated Mathematics lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.

• Assess, track, and provide constructive feedback on student progress, ensuring each student achieves their full academic potential.

• Contribute to curriculum development, incorporating global best practices in Mathematics education.

• Collaborate with the Department to plan and deliver cross-curricular initiatives that enhance student learning experiences.

• Participate actively in school-wide pastoral care, ensuring the wellbeing and holistic development of all students.

• Engage in co-curricular activities and enrichment programs to support student learning beyond the classroom.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mathematics education trends, including IGCSE, IB, and A-Levels, to ensure the highest teaching standards.
